It’s interesting for me to write this review, going back through memory lane and seeing how my life has improved because of self-hypnosis is incredible.
This is also what motivated me to publish it. More people need to know that, if we are willing, we can live a different life, a better one.
Since I finished the guide, I have been incorporating all of its tips and mind hacks into my life, even my family, and we have been seeing great improvement:
- Better grades
- Higher daily life performance
- More concentration
- The better relationship among us
Get in track
All of this, of course, didn’t happen overnight. The way I see it, it is much like planting a seed in your mind and Truth About Hypnosis works like fertilizer for your new ideas and habits.
Little by little, through these techniques, the good intentions that you have for yourself, and those you love, will find a way to grow and stick around, elevating your quality of life, and that of others.
This doesn´t mean that people will join you in this training, it means that the changes go so deep in the core, that even the way people look at you will change, but don´t worry, you will also get adjusted to this.
Wanting to get my life together
Growing up is hard for everyone. Yes, some people might do it more gracefully than others, or there is this Singaporean guy who is 50 years old but does look like a 20 something. However, these people are the exception.
When I was in university, although my performance was not up there in the 100 percent. I was doing a very good job juggling:
- Part-time job
There was all this energy, and I was having so much, I just couldn’t let everything fall.
Life after school
As time went on, my performance dropped and my priorities changed. Corporate work can be draining and I still had a lot of life to live.
But, I really wanted to get married and this job helped pay for everything:
Because of this, even though I really wanted to leave my job, I felt like I couldn’t because my financial security depended on it.
Dealing with anxiety
This contrasting situation: Me wanting to leave my job but not doing it, started generating bad thoughts in me towards others. Which, in turn, generated a storm of constant bad feelings:
- Resentment (strongest)
- Feeling like a coward
As I went on to my thirties, this was becoming unbearable. You see all those people online that didn’t choose a safety road having the chance, as most of us, do, living a life with no money, but happy. I refused to believe that this was only for backpackers or hippies, I wanted to be happy too while taking care of my family.
Looking for help
Time went by and, one day: I came home, go in the bathroom, wash my face and, as soon as I lift my face to see it in the mirror, my mind didn’t detect my mind.
It’s difficult to explain, but my memory knew it was my face, only my brain felt it as being disconnected from myself, it was horrible. So, after having a small panic attack and worrying my wife, she asked: Will this happen again?
Whatever happened was out of my control, it happened without me even feeling bad, so I didn’t have the answer to her question, and it worried me like hell. I did not want to be in a position where I would lose it without even previous symptoms. So, I decided to look for help.
The traditional approaches
First, I went to HR in my company, but their counseling didn’t really work, not because they were bad, but because I couldn’t tell them I wanted to leave.
Then, I looked for a psychologist. I felt quite well with the therapist, but it was too expensive, and I read somewhere that, in order for psychotherapy to be successful, you need, at least, 6 months to a year of constant sessions. When I calculated the whole budget, it was just too much.
After telling this to my therapist, he recommended Truth About Hypnosis, his recommendation came with a raving review on how he uses it with patients and how he always recommends it.
Truth About Hypnosis
I remember getting home, finding some reviews about it online, and deciding to buy it. You see, in the end of the day, I didn’t know where to go or how to continue. So, if I didn’t do this, I was going to still be in the same place.
As soon as I got the complete program, I found it:
- To the point
- Easy to read
- Not complicated for those unfamiliar with hypnosis
- Not commanding, rather like a walkthrough
- A series of well-structured steps
Also, I could identify that my problem is one of the oldest in the book, and that it relates to many other areas of my life. However, it was fixable.
Making a plan
So, the decision was that I was going to do this on my own, asking for help from my family when needed, but I wouldn’t bring them onboard something so new and unknown for everyone. I would try it on me for 6 months and see how it went.
The plan was that I would dedicate, at least 30 minutes to reading, and follow through all the recommendations.
This was not easy in the beginning:
- Talking to the mirror on my own
- Controlling my thoughts
The problem was that, my brain was so busy telling me that this wouldn’t work, I would get saturated and drop it. But, I kept trying and trying until I had my routine settled.
The first brick falls
After what seems to be 2 months of following the guide, I didn’t see or feel much results but, one day, in the cafeteria at the office, I overheard 1 guys trying to convince another one to invest in his business.
The possible investor seemed a little reluctant, but the guy pitching it really believed in his project and his dream. He claimed to have all these numbers to prove he would make it and that he just needed a push.
As the conversation ended and both were about to leave, I approached the guy looking for investors and asked him to tell me more. He then proceeded to tell me everything, and I decided to invest in his web and app design agency.
Some months ago, I would have never dared to commit my money to a stranger.
As time went by
Since I noticed this first change, I started catching myself doing positive things that, before, I would have never done, ever!
- It came a day when I woke up ready to exercise. It still comes every day.
- I had a plan to get a promotion and working on it
- My family was more relaxed
Once, in bed, my wife made a remark on how different I looked. “Still tense but not angry”, she said. She mentioned that even the kids brought this to her attention and that they wanted to know what was going on.
I didn’t hide anything from her, so she didn’t believe me when I told her that I was just following the guide.
However, I was very grateful that, after me, my family was also benefiting from this.
Starting to get it
I am sure you know how the story ends. However, in my case, it was not sudden. It’s not like one day I burned my office and left my job in corporate, etc.
It was more gradual, more natural. As I started building confidence, and the business grew and other business owners came to get investments and then I was making money out of them.
Not as much as I was making on the corporate side, but enough to start reconsidering my approach to money. This came because I started to reconsider:
- The way I use time
- My relationship with those who love me
- Health and mental sanity
- Even food
Hypnosis and the lasting effects
With the techniques and hacks to start getting better habits in my mind, I managed to get sustained benefits, and, after I was done with the guide and all this became second nature, I was able to even teach my kids, little by little of course, and now they are more responsible and tolerant.
Now, it is important that you first try this on yourself for at least 3 months before trying to teach anyone. At the end of the day, if something worked for me, I want it to work for you too, but that is why I am not writing my hypnosis blog, but rather a review.
